We Can Only Work

An epic evening was had by all this past Saturday, April 9, at the {Re}HAPPENING, an innovative fundraising and art-based collaboration between the Black Mountain College Museum + Arts Center (BMCM+AC) and the Media Arts Project (MAP). I was honored to be involved as both an organizer and artist at the event, an annual meeting of creative minds and bodies, drawn to the historic and inspirational site of the former Black Mountain College campus, known as Lake Eden in Western North Carolina.

After a few hours at the ticketing booth and an amazing hail storm that evening, I joined my collaborators R. Brooke Priddy, Nathanael Roney and Matt Schnable, to perform an installation of sound, symbols, fiber and ink, entitled We Can Only Work. Words fail to describe the experience… I offer these photosas attempt to capture the moment. An unforgettable experience for which I am deeply grateful!
